Fans, Friends, the season comes to an end and the end of dirt racing for Cole. It's been 5 years starting with Modified Midget on his 14th birthday. He had several wins, made Rookie of the year and finished 2nd in Points. At 16 he moved to MIdgets. There was a lot to learn with just himself and his Dad for help. He won some heat races, trophy dashes, finished runner up for Rookie of the year. The second year he finished 2nd over all. This year probably the toughest one yet now running a Sprint car and Midget. He got a lot of track time, including several weekends in California and Vegas in a Speed Truck on asphalt, testing for next year.

In the Midget it seemed like all of our luck was bad. Cole was caught up in accidents caused by other drivers and the muffler got knocked off in the last race at Manzy for a DNF. A condenser problem caused a DNF then a broken drive shaft, more crashes. Like I said we had a lot of luck but it's all been bad.

In the Sprint car he managed to make the main event most of the nights he ran it. He just finished running the last Midget race in Tucson with the USAC Midgets. 28 cars started the night but only 17 finished. That's where Cole finished 17th. We obviously hoped for better than that but being our first time to that track at least we finished and the car is still in one piece.

So that's it for Open Wheel dirt track racing. Everything is for sale. We have started on the trucks for next year. We would like to thank Dave Legue, Dave Ellis and Dave Houser for their helping out this year.

Cole will still be busy this winter going to ASU full time for Mechanical Engineering. Currently in one of his classes they are building a robot. This is what he likes doing. He did the tig welding on the aluminum. The group he's with seems to use alot of his ideas.
We are waiting for the wheels to be made for the Street Rod. We hope to be going to some of the custom car events this winter. As soon as it's done we'll get some pictures posted. See you next season.
