June 11th 2005 - Another long hot wait just to get in. The boring wait was
made a little bearable when somebody pulled up and dropped off a box of Manzy
posters. On checking these out we see a picture of Cole. Representing the
Midget Club. We got a couple extras, pretty cool.

Next was pill draw. A big discussion of how it should be done. With the
highest numbers the last couple weeks something should change. Well, heah, 24.
Third row, second heat. We are trying a different set up tonight after studying
the dyno sheet. We want to try and slow the motor down to run in the maximum
torque area coming off the turns.

In the heat Cole runs fourth up till the last turn when one of the cars got
by him. He finished 5th which cost him a front row starting spot. We weren't
impressed with the gear change. More debate which included chassis builder Dave
Ellis. So we changed gears and stakes and set up the car to run on the bottom
of the track. With our usual starting spot, 10th. Cole gets a good start. He
has improved in this area now. He makes it to 4th place and running real well
at one point it's 3 wide going into 3 and Cole comes out of 4 in front. That
was exciting. As the race went on the car was slowing noticeably in the last few
laps. 2 cars got by him and he finished 6th not bad but we need to find out
if it was the car or the driver that made the car seem like it was backing up.

Next up to Prescott. At least it'll be cooler.
