Cole sold the Sprint car and picked up a used Speed Truck with plans to run seven races this season and retain his Rookie status for next season. Cole and his team from the dirt track series has a lot to learn. Dave Legue and David Legue Jr. are still with us. We also help out with Jessie Puccini, Cole’s big sister who is a Rookie this year.  The series has run 5 races so far. Cole has run 2 of them, Las Vegas and the Orange Show. With little practice he has seemed to take to these trucks quite well. In Vegas he qualified 17th and finished 10th, not bad for the first time out with 26 trucks entered. Two weeks later at a much smaller track, the Orange Show in California. He qualified 12th and finished 9th and in both races the truck came out with little damage, while there were numerous incidents at both tracks. For the 19 year old that has been racing for 14 years he now can hear somebody telling him what’s going on the track. His spotter keeps him somewhat informed as well as Cole telling the spotter and crew what’s happening with the truck.

The Speed Truck will be in Madera July 15th, Cole will be there to help with Jessie’s truck. Next race for Cole will be at Irwindale Speedway on July 29th.

The next 8 races will be televised on OLN Network. They plan on running them this winter. We’ll keep it posted. This series is a big change for the team, a different track each week, most of the races are out of state. But what a blast on Saturday nights. We will try to keep this a little more up to date. Catch us here, at the track or on TV.
